Snowmobiles are used in extreme temperatures. Indeed, it's not uncommon for snowmobile drivers to be out in temperatures of -40 F. Such temperatures, combined with extreme vibrations, can put a lot of stress on the bolts used to assemble snowmobile engines.

Polaris Industries Inc. (Minneapolis), a manufacturer of snowmobiles and personal watercraft, is familiar with the problem. Subzero temperatures were causing mounting studs to fail in the company's 700-cubic-centimeter reciprocating snowmobile engines. Cape Town artist Dr Michael Durst will be opening his exhibition of impressionistic paintings entitled Postcards From The Heart at the Grapes, Gourmet And Gallery evening at Winchester Mansions Hotel on Wednesday September 12.

Personal medical information, included on a driver's license application and maintained in government files, is not subject to the state Freedom of Information Law, New York's top court ruled Tuesday.

The Court of Appeals unanimously concluded that it would be an "unwarranted invasion of privacy" to reveal, against a motorist's wishes, that he or she suffers from a physical disability. Other information on a driver's license application, however, remains open to public inspection and can be obtained at any Department of Motor Vehicle office.
