Wireless Inc. Introduces First Product Family: the ACCESS Series.

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 10, 1997--Wireless Inc. introduced today, at PCS '97, the ACCESS Series, a family of digital microwave radios that operate within the unlicensed 2.4 and 5.7 GHz frequency bands.

The first product within this series, the ACCESS Link(TM), is designed for point-to-point communication solutions for voice, data and video transmission at both DS-1 and E1 capacities for distances up to 20 miles.

The ACCESS Link advanced feature set integrates DSSS with Forward Error Correction (FEC) for detection and correction of random errors without data retransmission. The product's front access panel provides a LCD display for terminal configuration and status monitoring.

ACCESS Link also features an IntelliCard that stores all system configuration information for quick and easy recall or transfer. ACCESS Link includes a SNMP interface feature to facilitate remote monitoring and to minimize on-site maintenance. ACCESS Link provides a complete wireless access solution for PCS, PCN, PHS, cellular, CAP's, and private network applications.

The ACCESS Link employs a proprietary form of direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) technology that enables the capability for higher capacity and the ability to tolerate and negate the effect of unwanted signals. This technology will enable ACCESS Link to provide digital capacities up to 4xDS-1 and 4xE1.
