NSW:Women assaulted in Sydney park

A woman has been sexually assaulted by two men in a Sydney park.

The 46-year-old woman was walking along Cleveland Street in Strawberry Hills when three
men approached her about 10.30 Wednesday night.

They threatened her with a metal bar and took her into Prince Alfred Park where two
of them sexually assaulted her.

The woman managed to escape and get to a hospital where medical staff contacted police.

The attackers have been described as being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance.

Police are now warning women who use the area to get to Central Station to be careful.

Local Area Commander .. acting superintendent KYM SHARP says while women shouldn't
let the fear of crime rule their lives they need to make sure they're aware of their surroundings
and taken sensible precautions.
